Testimonial

“Lynn is one of the most amazing people person that I know. She makes you feel welcome and warm and approaches every person big or small with the same grace. She always takes the time to listen and / or lend a helping hand!  Her creativity flows from her pores!  She always has a creative project on the go and spends endless hours preparing for her in-class activities.  I am honoured to be able to call her a friend and would recommend her to everyone.  If I had small children I would want them cared for Lynn.”

Hello! I'm happy you're here!

My name is Lynn Pineau and my life is a natural learning curve; diverse and rich in creativity, vision, originality, and independence.

Life is learning and how better to enjoy it than beside a small child who sees every day as a learning adventure?

My role as a Montessori Toddler Guide at The Children's House of Guelph is a privilege and natural extension of my love of learning, nurturing, and creativity. Young children are innately ready for all of this - in abundance!

My adult career began in my early 20s as a nurse for 10 years before I had my first child. From then I was a stay-at-home mother for 16 years, raising and homeschooling my 3 beautiful children. I saw firsthand that indeed learning happens naturally! During those years I cared for many family pets and fostered and rescued stray animals. Books and creative projects of all kinds were scattered about my home. Life was simple and centered around family values. I was also "Sunflower" the clown, offering music and face-painting for community groups and events, birthday parties, and long-term care facilities.

Spirituality has always been the cornerstone of my creative life. Many years were spent exploring the grand old question: "What is the meaning of life?" This lead me down a metaphysical path and 8 years of formal study to obtain my Masters in Metaphysics and designation as a Spiritual Counsellor and Minister: Rev. Lynn. I've performed many wedding ceremonies and see my informal counselling role as "soul guide and messenger for daily affairs" through conversations with friends or strangers that happen organically.

After my children had grown up, for 11 years I cared for the elderly in the community or in care homes, and then began working with children again — my true calling — for the past 8 years. I've worked in various capacities and Montessori schools, earning my Montessori Classroom Assistant certification and then went on to obtain my Montessori Infant / Toddler diploma from the North American Montessori Center (NAMC).

Weaved through everything I've experienced in my life thus far has been a deep understanding of the connection between mind, body, and spirit and the importance of balance. I am a passionate advocate for children through my love and care of them, not only in the way of learning, but in maintaining a safe and nurturing space for them to unfold as meant. I seek to do my utmost to support families through sharing what I know in order to spark their own wisdom. The Children's House of Guelph is a small community of families joined together with a common goal: optimum health, peace, and happiness on all levels for their child. Change in the world, begins with the child.
